In Canada, we’re used to most medical expenses being covered by government insurance plans. However, when travelling to another province or country, medical expenses can become costly. If you find yourself in a predicament where you need medical insurance, you can benefit from credit card travel insurance that includes medical coverage.

Travel medical insurance can help cover the unexpected expenses associated with hospital fees, nursing care, and ambulances. There are a number of credit cards that contain coverage to help with these expenses. Most credit card insurance plans will provide coverage for a set length of time. Although some will extend the coverage for up to three days if you’re delayed returning home (for example, you’re in a car accident). If you’re looking for a credit card with excellent travel medical insurance, consider these three cards.
