Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) offers four personal chequing account plans to cater to different needs.

RBC Day to Day Banking

This is the bank’s low-cost chequing account offering as part of the Commitment on Low-Cost and No-Cost Accounts developed by the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC). If you’re aged 65 or older, you’ll enjoy a Senior Rebate that brings the monthly fee from $4 down to $0. 

Similarly, if you’re a Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) beneficiary, you’ll get a rebate that brings your monthly fee to $0.

RBC Advantage Banking

This chequing account offers unlimited Interact transfers, unlimited debit transactions and fee-free access to any Interac ATM in Canada. It’s also available as a no-fee chequing account for students and those aged 24 and under. It’s also available as a newcomer’s bank account with a $0 monthly fee for one year.

RBC Signature No Limit Banking

In addition to having unlimited Interac transfers and debit transactions, this account offers a number of free cross-border debits,a rebate on the annual fee for eligible RBC credit cards, and waived overdraft protection fees.

RBC VIP Banking

This featured-packed chequing account offers unlimited cross-border debits,a larger rebate on the annual fee for eligible RBC credit cards, and waived overdraft protection fees.

RBC Royal Bank chequing account offers

RBC regularly runs chequing account offers for students and newcomers to Canada to reward you for opening a new chequing account. There may also be bonuses available if you deposit a certain amount of funds or complete certain tasks.

RBC Value Program

The RBC Value Program offers savings on your chequing account fees and lets you earn Avion points from debit transactions when you enrol for products in different categories: Personal Credit Cards, Personal Investments, Residential Mortgages, and Small Business Accounts.
