One free withdrawal is included with this account, as well as one additional withdrawal or transfer. You must be 60 or older to open the Steinbach Credit Union Seniors Regular Savings Account. Note that interest is calculated monthly but paid annually.

Steinbach Credit Union’s Regular Savings Account features one of the highest interest rates across savings account providers in Canada. However, the interest rate is tiered so account balances of $250,000 or more will earn the highest interest rate while the rate offered on balances of $0 to $100,000 is still quite competitive. If you choose to bank with Steinbach Credit Union’s high-interest savings account, you won’t pay any monthly fees but transaction fees will apply. Interest is paid annually.

While the Steinbach Credit Union Seniors PLAN 24 Account pays the lowest interest rate amongst SCU savings accounts, the Seniors PLAN 24 Account doesn’t have a monthly fee and interest is paid monthly. Moreover, this account is only available for those aged 60 and over. You’re allowed to make one free withdrawal and one additional withdrawal or transfer before transaction charges apply.
