I recently worked with Hemesh Kapadia at Rate Hub for a mortgage renewal of mine, and I found the entire process to be abysmal. At first Hemesh was attentive, and got back to me in a timely manner, however towards the end of the process, Hemesh made promises that he did not keep, such as promising he would provide updates from a few lenders regarding my application. Hemesh never got back to me regarding the 2 lenders, which he promised me he would do. To this day I do not even know if Hemesh actually submitted my application to the lenders, nor do I know the final results. What makes it worse is that I had a mortgage renewal deadline that was quickly approaching for my existing lender, so I told Hemesh, I needed some feedback quickly before my existing mortgage renewal expired. After that, all I got from Hemesh was radio silence! I tried to contact Hemesh several times through email and phone, and he basically just GHOSTED me, as I still haven’t heard from him to this day. Most of the time I would not leave a review, but this is a very important matter considering mortgages are literally the BIGGEST loan for any Canadian, and having a mortgage agent who is competent and has the basic decency to get back to his clients is vital! Hemesh Kapadia made the entire process more stressful than it had to be, I would not use him again. I don’t have experience with other agents at Rate Hub/Can Wise so I cannot speak to that, but I most certainly would NEVER use Hemesh Kapadia again. *******************UPDATED REVIEW BELOW************** I’m increasing my original score for this review from 1/5 to 3/5. After I left the original review, I was contacted by one of the Team Leads/Managers at Ratehub/canwise. They were extremely apologetic for my poor experience, and mentioned they would put measures in place to ensure this doesn’t happen again for someone else. They also did their best to make it right, which I appreciated. Although this doesn’t change my original experience, it does give me confidence in the company, that they take their relationships with their clients seriously, and if there is a mistake done, they will do their best to correct it. - Josh
