I was offered the lowest variable rate that I could find. Prepayment privileges were acceptable and in line with the competition. Generally the experience and offer was good and I would recommend Ratehub. The one issue I had was that it was initially communicated that the new mortgage fee would be waived. However, at signing I was charged a fee because my existing mortgage had an attached line of credit. When I asked, I was told that the fee would have been waived (and the fee would have been lower) if my mortgage did not have an attached line of credit. I recall I did mention to the mortgage broker that my mortgage has an attached line of credit, but I assume they overlooked it. In either case, with or without the fee I was charged, I do not think I would have chosen a different mortgage provider. - Leon Chan
