Ratehub’s review
Natasha Macmillan
This card makes sense for growing businesses who spend a lot. While the welcome bonus and earn rates are generous, the spending requirements for each are quite high.
Pros:
- Business management offers: The expense management feature simplifies business operations, allowing users to sort charges by vendor and spend category. Plus, with Dynamic Purchasing Power, your spending limit isn’t fixed and adjusts according to your spending habits and payment history which is great for growing businesses
- Payment flexibility: This is a charge card, and you’ll have up to 55 days interest-free before you need to pay off your balance in full. Unpaid balances will then be charged 30% interest which is steep
Cons:
- Rewards take a long time to build: Other than the decent base earn rate of 1 point per $1 on purchases, the $20,000 for 10,000 points earn rate doesn’t make much sense if you’re not a big spender on your business
- Somewhat lacking in insurance: For a premium card, the insurance options are somewhat basic. While you’ll be covered with purchase protection, employee card misuse and mobile device coverage, travel accident insurance, trip delay insurance and more, the card does not offer travel medical insurance
- Statement credits have lower value: If you’re planning on redeeming your points for a statement credit to cover the card’s balance at a rate of 1 point =1 cent, which isn’t bad, know that your points will have less value then they would for certain travel redemptions
