Credit cards eligible for a gift card will be listed on our Special Offers page, and will be marked with a green gift icons throughout the comparison charts.
We are issuing gift cards for successful Scotiabank Gold American Express® Card applications. As of right now, there is no set end date for this promotion.
If your credit card application is successful, you can choose from an Amazon, Indigo or Cineplex gift card. If you qualify, you will receive a gift card via email within 10 - 15 business days of approval.
Completed credit card application approvals can take up to sixty (60) business days to be processed by the issuer. Approved credit card applicants will be notified by the issuer. If you want to inquire about the status of your application, please contact the bank directly. The issuer is not liable to you if you are declined for a credit card.
You must apply online through Ratehub.ca to be eligible for a gift card. Applications completed over the phone or in branch will not be accepted. You should receive your gift card by email automatically within 10 to 15 business days after your application has been approved. If you do not receive your gift card within 10 to 15 business days, please contact Ratehub.ca directly at [email protected] If you do not contact Ratehub.ca within three months of receiving your credit card, your eligibility for the gift card will expire.
Promotion is valid for new cardholders only. You must apply for the credit cards through Ratehub.ca to be eligible.

Promotions will only be rewarded upon approval of the credit card application. By submitting your contact information for a Ratehub.ca promotion, you authorize Ratehub.ca to receive account information from Scotiabank regarding credit card approval status, and the time and date of credit card approval or decline. You agree Scotiabank is harmless for any information disclosed to Ratehub.ca. Applicants consent to Ratehub.ca using their name, email address, phone number and mailing address to verify approved credit card applications. Ratehub.ca will not have access to any personal details, beyond those details required to fulfill the Promotion, provided for in the credit card application. Please review Ratehub.ca’s Privacy Policy which also applies.The Bank of Nova Scotia (Scotiabank), the issuer of the credit card for which you are applying, is not responsible or liable for any aspect of these gift cards or Promotions. Any issues with gift card fulfillment must be brought to the attention of Ratehub.ca within three (3) months of the approval date.
Terms and Conditions for bonus points: To be eligible for the 15,000 bonus points, you must make at least $1000 in net purchases (purchases less returns or similar credits) posted to your Scotiabank Card account (“Account”) in the first 3 months from the Account open date. The bonus points will appear as an adjustment on your Account statement within 2 statement cycles after the third billing cycle has passed provided the Account is open and in good standing. Offer may be changed or extended and cannot be combined with any other offer. The preferred annual fee is $99 for the primary card and $29 for each additional supplementary card.
