About Equitable Bank

Equitable Bank is the ninth largest independent bank in Canada. It provides commercial and residential lending, as well as both short-term and long-term GICs. You can purchase guaranteed investment certificates (GICs) or other deposit products online or by calling customer service.

Equitable Bank offers some of the most competitive GIC rates for its non-registered GICs with shorter terms, such as 90-day and one-year terms. Equitable Bank’s non-redeemable GIC requires a minimum deposit of $1,000. It pays interest on an annual basis and is protected by CDIC Insurance. Equitable Bank also offers GICs for one- to five-year terms.
