Laurentian Bank offers several banking plans to suit an array of needs, whether you conduct dozens of transactions a month, or just a few. They also have chequing accounts specifically for seniors and and youths. However, none of Laurentian Bank's chequing account offerings include interac e-Transfers—if you want to send one, you'll be charged a fee. To find the right chequing account for you, compare account features and fees from multiple chequing account providers.
Laurentian Transact A Little Plan
Laurentian's Transact A Little Plan has the lowest monthly fee among their chequing account plans, but also the lowest number of included transactions. This plan is for someone who makes a limited number of monthly transactions and doesn't require many teller-assisted transactions.
Laurentian Transact A Lot Plan
The Transact A Lot Plan has a set number of included transactions which can be used for either self-serve or teller-assisted transactions. If you're a senior or student, you'll qualify for a rebate which decreases your monthly fee. This plan is for you if you make relatively few transactions overall, but require both electronic and in-branch transaction services.
Laurentian Transact Without Limit Plan
The Transact Without Limit Plan is one of Laurentian's unlimited chequing accounts. With this account, you can make an unlimited number of transactions per month. However, Interac e-Transfers are not included, so you'll be charged a fee for each one you send. This plan is also available to students or seniors for a lower monthly fee, after their rebates are accounted for.
Laurentian The Gold Service Plan
The Gold Service Plan is Laurentian's most robust chequing account offering—it also charges the highest monthly fee. However, if you're a student or senior, you may be eligible for a rebate which will decrease your monthly fee. This account offers unlimited transactions, including free use of ABMs that are part of the Interac and PLUS international networks. This account is ideal for someone who conducts many transactions and requires access to international ATMs frequently.
Laurentian's 65+ account is for seniors who conduct minimal transactions. The account has no monthly fee and includes a free paper bank statement. Transactions with this account can be done either online or in-branch.
Laurentian's Youth chequing account provides unlimited electronic transactions for youths, with no monthly fee. Account holders have a limited number of in-branch transactions included with the account; additional teller-assisted transactions will incur a fee.
