The Top 5 Hottest Vancouver Condos

The following is a guest post by BuzzBuzzHome, the most complete listing of new construction homes. Aside from cataloguing all new construction in Canada (and now the US), the BuzzHomies maintain a blog, publishing all the real estate news that’s fit to print.

Clockwise from left: The Flats, 6 & Fir, The Rolston

Alright condo enthusiasts, we know you’re pumped that summer is only a few weeks away. Time for warm weather, cold drinks and — our favourite — summer top five lists!

In our humble opinion, the only thing hotter than a summer day is the Vancouver real estate market. There are a ton of attention-deserving condo developments in Vancouver right now, so narrowing our list down to just five was no small task. But, we persevered and came up with the following list.

Prices may be high, but low mortgage rates in Vancouver are keeping borrowing costs down, so purchasing at one of these five hot developments may be within your realm of possibility.

Enjoy!

Collection 45 by MYIE Homes

A low rise that claims to outdo its high-rise counterparts? Now, that’s something we don’t see every day. But Collection 45 by MYIE Homes, a development in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood, does just that. Only six stories high, Collection 45 focuses on combining the history and culture of its surrounding neighbourhood with a modern feel. Open space floor plans and lots of natural light put this project on our “watch list.”

The Rolston by Rize

With breathtaking views and expanded decks, we’re not surprised The Rolston by Rize is one of the most popular developments on Granville Street. Situated in one of the last heritage properties in downtown Vancouver, The Rolston’s cutting edge design aims to provide the ultimate modern living centre. We have this sneaky feeling that this project might just become a Vancouver landmark.

6 & Fir by Westbank

It’s all about being ahead of the curve! We absolutely love 6&Fir’s unique curved form designed by Henriquez Partners Architects. With only fifty homes, this Vancouver development will capture a sense of intimacy while providing panoramic views of English Bay, Stanley Park, the North Shore, and False Creek. There will also be extensive outdoor gardens and an artists’ studio.

999 Seymour by Townline

There’s something that just feels right about having an eco-designed home in downtown Vancouver. 999 Seymour by Townline is in the heart of the city, giving its residents the chance to be right in the middle of the action. But 999 Seymour’s amenities are what really impress us. They include a gym, fire pit, and — further complementing 999 Seymour’s distinctly Vancouver vibe — a yoga studio. The development has already sold over 100 homes.

The Flats – 219 Georgia East by Panther Constructors Ltd.

Vancouver’s Chinatown was recently designated as a National Historical Site, and The Flats – 219 Georgia East is the perfect addition to the neighbourhood. The Flats offers sleek yet traditional design which includes subtly elegant touches like slotted shutters and tall windows. But, we doubt residents will be spending all their time indoors. From taking a stroll through the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden to picking up fresh produce, the neighbourhood offers tons of attractions.
